Where to start? I was fifteen when I first met my future husband. It took eight more years of our paths crossing before we finally figured out that we would have an amazing life together. We started out living in a 900 sq. foot red-brick bungalow that we had spent months renovating before we were married. That began a love, some might say obsession, with remodeling. Seven houses later we are finally settling down and enjoying remodeling our current home one room at a time. My husband and I now have two very energetic boys and two sweet little girls.
My love for homes, remodeling, and interior design inspired me to become a real estate agent. I work for Chapman Richards and Associates and love every minute of it. I graduated from college with a degree in drawing and painting and love everything to do with design. Since being married I have also developed a love for cooking. I’m a contributor on Cookbook Junkies and part of a gourmet dinner group that gets together monthly to create delicious meals.
I started Design Times Four as a way of sharing how design is infused into every aspect of my life. I focus on the four areas of design that interest me the most: home design, food, art, and fashion. I hope you enjoy!

Hello. I just found your blog today and am very interested in your dining room/office makeover. Did you do the work yourself or hire out? I would like to put a desktop and shelving in my sitting room similar to what you have done. If you did the work yourself, could you explain to me what went in to making the desk area. It looks like it is supported by large brackets underneath and attached to the cabinets at either hand. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
