Every magazine I open these days has a large advertisement for Target’s new line Threshold. The photos are charming, stylish and full of great furniture and accessories.

Longest Picture Ever Made!

I don’t know if you have seen Ramona and Beezus but my kids love it (even the boys!). Anyway on the show Ramona’s dad helps her make a super long mural for her project for school. Well Max was dying to try it. So one day Greg and Max went for it.

First, Greg got a roll of paper from Ikea.
Second, they got all the paint supplies ready.
(Key to doing this with kids is using washable paints!)
Third, let your imagination go crazy.
Fourth, get involved. You aren’t too old to paint something great.

Tablescapes For Your Easter Celebration

As I picked these Easter tablescapes to feature on my blog I noticed one commonality, fresh flowers. The List

Some make New Year’s resolutions, we make THE LIST (cue the dramatic music dun-dun-duun) What is this scary list you ask? Well let me tell ya. The List is a blueprint if you will of all the projects we want to accomplish that year. You would think that after years of making and sticking trying to stick to the list we would be out of projects, not true. There is always another project to do. So here is our List for 2012.

Move Mary to a bed and create a fun bedroom for the two girls to share.
Re-paint the main floor bathroom – maybe stripes or maybe wallpaper???
Decorate the walls of the kid’s playroom
Paint the spindles on the staircase and stain the handrail.
Finish painting the shed outside – as soon as it is warm again.
Build a bench outside near the basketball court.
Find a perfect couch for our living room.

I’m exhausted already! We need some good inspiration. Let us know what you think of our ideas and share any great ideas that you might have.

Novogratz Design

Do you watch Home by Novogratz on HGTV? My sister-in-law Laura introduced me and Greg to the Novogratz website years ago. We loved looking at the different houses they have designed and lived in.

I think there are a few reasons why we like the Novogratz. They think out-of-the-box and mix many different styles. They also live in New York City and so it’s fun to see the shops they visit and the flats they design. Greg and I are both in love with NYC. We always talk about how great it would be to move there for a year when the kids have left the house…like a sabbatical of sorts!

Courtney and Robert Novogratz are parents of seven children which I find fascinating since they live in a big city. They both seem like nice people and I love that Courtney looks fabulous with little makeup and wears funky, darling clothes! I think we are also enamored by them because they are a duo that loves design just like us.
